  1. My favorite crochet project in Cascade Yarns would be the toys I make for my cat using 220 Superwash. Sometimes they are crochet, sometimes they are knit, and sometimes they use both. (The main things I crochet are actually done using embroidery floss, as even lace yarn is too large.) I have a crocheted belt in 220 Superwash that's still in the concept stage. Hope to get to it some day!

    1. And, I meant to add that my future favorite project is going to be this neck warmer. My grandmother died in 1973. Until a month ago, I had no mementos. Then, out of the blue, a cousin sent me two of my grandmother's headscarves. They're beautiful and could be warn on their own, but would be even lovelier showcased in this beautifully designed pattern. Thank you, Kristen, for writing it!

Honeycomb Cable Hat - Greenland

I got the brilliant idea this year to knit a number of people gifts.  I managed to finish 6 projects in the month of December and write out the patterns for most of them.  One of my favorites was this lovely cabled hat knit in Greenland .  Greenland is one of my favorite yarns - it has this amazing springy twists and has fabulous stitch definition.  Sadly, I seem to never get a chance to knit it. The finished hat shown is for an average adult - finished (unstretched) measurement is 7" wide and 8" long from the cast on edge.  I cast on 88 stitches.  It can easily be adapted to be smaller (cast on 80 stitches) or larger (cast on 96 stitches).
