Patternfish - Common Ground by Elizabeth Smith

Common Ground Designed by Elizabeth Smith Published in Patternfish Knit in Eco Wool - (100% Undyed Peruvian Highland Wool - 478 yds/250 g) - 2-4 skeins Sizes - XS-4X (32 - 58.5" chest circumference) Elizabeth wanted a "versatile long-sleeved cardigan" for her fall/winter wardrobe.  Not too heavy, not too light, not too plain, not too complicated, something just right - a sweater that would be functional, versatile, and a staple for the wardrobe.   Common Ground is an open hooded cardigan sized from XS-4X that is knit seamlessly from the top-down. It is meant to be worn open, so it does not completely cover the chest. The yoke part is knit in garter stitch to give it some texture. Then the body incorporates a simple diamond eyelet stitch pattern that gives it that extra something special. A hood was included to really give it that autumnal feel, but since the hood is created by picking up stitches you could always forego adding it if you prefer.
