These adorable birds were designed with children in mind (including putting a little squeaker inside).  The pattern includes instructions for a penguin, robin, baby bird, and crow - but you can mix and match beaks, bodies, and feet to create your own special bird.  They are a fabulous stash-buster project since each bird only requires about 80 yds of yarn.

Knit a elegant scarf out of scrumptious worsted weight alpaca.  The pattern stitch is reversible and the ruffle utilizes short rows.  The scarf is ruched by picking up stitches further down on the scarf and knitting those stitches with the live ones on the needle.
