Add a touch of elegance to your wardrobe with this cardigan. Wear it open for a little warmth in the evening or buttoned over a skirt or jeans, Laced Leaves will create a distinctive versatile outfit.

Knit from the top down, this cardigan combines a simple lace stitch with cabled ‘leaves’. Worked on large needles it will be knit before you know it! The deep ribbed waistband adds definition and shape to the cardigan without any need for additional shaping.

US #7/4.5mm: 1 pair double pointed needles (dpns), 1 circular needle, 32 inches or longer
US #8/5mm: 1 pair double pointed needles (dpns), 1 circular needle, 32 inches or longer

Waste yarn; Tapestry needles; Stitch markers (m); 6-8 buttons (approx. 0.5 inch diameter)

GAUGE
16 sts/22 rows = 4” in lace leave pattern st on larger needles
22 sts/26 rows = 4” in lightly stretched 2x2 ribbing on smaller needles

Honeycomb Cable Hat - Greenland

I got the brilliant idea this year to knit a number of people gifts. I managed to finish 6 projects in the month of December and write out the patterns for most of them. One of my favorites was this lovely cabled hat knit in Greenland . Greenland is one of my favorite yarns - it has this amazing springy twists and has fabulous stitch definition. Sadly, I seem to never get a chance to knit it. The finished hat shown is for an average adult - finished (unstretched) measurement is 7" wide and 8" long from the cast on edge. I cast on 88 stitches. It can easily be adapted to be smaller (cast on 80 stitches) or larger (cast on 96 stitches).
