Blue Rondo - Highland Duo

Highland Duo is an amazingly soft blend of Baby Alpaca and Merino Wool.  It is the solid dyed family member of the Duos (which also includes Eco Duo, Eco Highland Duo and Color Duo).  A while ago I designed a cowl in Highland Duo since it feels so nice and warm against your skin.
I love cables - especially reversible ones. With enough wool to make the Alpaca behave, Highland Duo cables quite nicely and works up into a lovely, soft scarf. This 16 row pattern works up fairly quickly into a warm scarf.

  1. Can someone interpret the numbers in row 2? I don't understand what that means. Also, on rows 5-9-13 there is xs; does that mean extra-small? Really like the pattern

    1. Row 2 is simply saying all even rows in the pattern. You'll notice that the other rows are all odd.

Not sure of "xs". I do not see this in the patten now. Perhaps because there is such a span of time, someone actually fixed the pattern?

      Hope this helps,

  3. I think that the xs means 'times'? You do need to do the stitches in the brackets 10 times
