Uakari
Designed by Rachel Erin
Available for sale on Patternfish and Ravelry
Knit in 220 Superwash (100% Superwash Wool - 220 yds/100 g) - shown in 872 (2-4 sks) and 873 (1 sk)
Available in sizes 3 mo - 6T
"Realistic enough for pretend, practical enough for everyday," says Erin. "Uakari (a genus of Brazilian monkeys) is knit in pieces and seamed, before the hood is picked up and knit. Short row shaping keeps the hood on comfortably regardless of monkey business. Pockets and ears are knit separately and sewed on at the end. The buttonband and buttonholes are knit as you go. If you put the ears on the top of the hood-- it looks like a bear!" Beyond cute, and Erin writes a splendid thorough pattern with lots of helpful links.
