What little boy doesn’t love trains? With extraordinary detail and vibrant color this Hoody will be his favorite! This easy to crochet Hoody is warm and cozy. Not to mention ultra soft. The contemporary design and extraordinary detail make it truly special. Hoody pieces are crocheted separately and sewn together. Train and smoke “balls” are crocheted separately and attached.

Sizing: Children’s sizes 6 months to 3 yrs.

Materials: Pima Tencel (50% Pima Cotton/50% Tencel; 89 yds/50 g) : 6-9 balls #4922 (bright blue).
1 -2 balls #9509 (Mint Green) and #7478 (Red)
Remnants of Yellow, Green, and White yarn for train.

Size 9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook (or size to obtain gauge).
Size 6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook
Size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook

Gauge: 18 st and 18 rows = 4” / 10 cm on sc rows using a size 9 (5.5mm) hook.

Honeycomb Cable Hat - Greenland

I got the brilliant idea this year to knit a number of people gifts. I managed to finish 6 projects in the month of December and write out the patterns for most of them. One of my favorites was this lovely cabled hat knit in Greenland . Greenland is one of my favorite yarns - it has this amazing springy twists and has fabulous stitch definition. Sadly, I seem to never get a chance to knit it. The finished hat shown is for an average adult - finished (unstretched) measurement is 7" wide and 8" long from the cast on edge. I cast on 88 stitches. It can easily be adapted to be smaller (cast on 80 stitches) or larger (cast on 96 stitches).
