Cascade Yarns is proud to be a new sponsor for the Pittsburgh Knit and Crochet Festival, held at the Four Points by Sheraton Pittsburgh North on February 13 and 14, and will have an informational table outside the main floor. We will be unveiling a new hat pattern by Lorna Miser that was designed for the festival. Melissa Leapman will be teaching all weekend as well as a variety of other talented teachers. There will be more than 50 booths and the market will be open from 9 am to 4 pm both days.
The Festival was initially a fundraiser initiated by Barb Grossman, Festival organizer and the wife of former Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Randy Grossman, for the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh, where her daughter was a student. Warm Up America, a non-profit foundation which donates blankets to shelters, will be supported with a Warm Up America room where festival participants can knit or crochet rectangles that will be made into blankets.
Correction, The market is open from 9-5 on Saturday and 9-4:30 on Sunday.
