Reversible Cabled Scarf - 220 Superwash Aran

A  I love reversible scarves and I love cables.  It was great fun to realize that I could have both in one project.
220 Superwash Aran is another new yarn that plays beautifully on the needles.  Each 100 gram hank has 150 yards of squishy superwash merino softness.  Easy care, it comes in a palette of 40 rich colors.  It only took 2 hanks to work up this luscious, cabled scarf.

  2. After the start of the center cable in Row 27, where does the center cable repeat? There are no cables in Rows 28-30 or Rows 31-48. Thank you...

  3. I believe rows 25-26 and 28-30 should also start with K1, like rows 1-2.

Patricia, there would be a center cable on rows 33, 39, and 45.

  4. Shouldn't the piece end with 3 rows like Rows 4 - 6? That would give 3 rows before starting Rows 1 - 22, keeping the pattern matching at the beginning and end of the scarf.

  5. I just finished this scarf in 220 Superwash Aran 1958 Sapphire. It was sheer joy to use this yarn...so lofty & squishy...a dream! The scarf feels great around the neck, too...not too wide...just right. Thanks for this great pattern.

  8. Interesting to see a knitting pattern blog have deleted comments. I'm so incredibly curious why.

Thanks for the pattern I think I will give it a go for my next humanitarian scarf.

Honeycomb Cable Hat - Greenland

I got the brilliant idea this year to knit a number of people gifts.  I managed to finish 6 projects in the month of December and write out the patterns for most of them.  One of my favorites was this lovely cabled hat knit in Greenland .  Greenland is one of my favorite yarns - it has this amazing springy twists and has fabulous stitch definition.  Sadly, I seem to never get a chance to knit it. The finished hat shown is for an average adult - finished (unstretched) measurement is 7" wide and 8" long from the cast on edge.  I cast on 88 stitches.  It can easily be adapted to be smaller (cast on 80 stitches) or larger (cast on 96 stitches).
